As you know, most natural disasters knock out many of the infrastructure services needed, one of them being electrical power. Historically, the electrical company tries to restore power to the structures that are still standing and temporary housing or First Responder Camps do not take precedence. Our on-demand power unit can be setup and operational in 1 day. We have two models of GreenHawk’s Power Pod. One suited for small villages and the other for individual units.
The small village sized Power Pod can provide a minimum of 50 kilowatts of power per hour and can be upgraded to provide even more. In addition, it also sanitizes water at a rate of 150 gallons per minute and can utilize debris and waste to produce electricity. This simultaneously clears the area while producing power to the entire portable village.
GreenHawk’s Power Pod only requires one person with minimal training to supply the unit with more feedstock every 4 to 6 hours. In field testing, 20,000 pounds of organic feedstock was supplied and the end result, as far as byproduct, was a 5 gallon (19 liter) container of ash. Additionally the units do not produce any smoke, so pollution is not an issue. The EPA, during testing, did not realize the unit was operational and running when they went to review it. Immediate power that sanitizes water, rids waste and debris and produces zero smoke is a superior solution.
The individual GreenHawk Power Pod can provide either 10 kilowatts or 20 kilowatts of power per hour. This unit utilizes a gasification process and requires organic material, such as wood chips, as feed stock. So it, too, can be utilized to remove debris and waste. Like its larger counterpart, this unit can be operated by one person with minimal training who will need to supply the unit with feedstock every 6 to 8 hours. This unit is assembled on a metal skid base with a maximum foot print of 51” x 52” and is so portable, it can literally be placed almost anywhere. It is the true definition of portable power.
